Many fans of The Chase want the chance to come face-to-face with the UK’s brightest quiz brains – but only a select few get the chance to take them on.
However, some lucky university students got the chance to see ‘the Dark Destroyer’ Shaun Wallace in action as he presented their Freshers Quiz on Tuesday, September 17 in Hull. The 64-year-old Chaser is a British barrister, quiz expert and lecturer, known for competing against contestants by answering trivia questions.
But this time it was his turn to ask the questions. In a video, which has since gained more than 1,600 views on his social media, he was greeted by a roaring crowd of students who were to compete for a £250 cash prize – and a Chase mug.
The star was seen walking up on stage to meet the students who were eagerly waiting to take on his questions. He said: “We’re gonna have a fantastic time tonight.
“At the end of the quiz, I brought my own special spot prize where one lucky recipient will win a Chase mug and a copy of probably the greatest autobiography ever written – Chasing the dream! At some point, I will be coming out on the floor to meet everybody.”
