AREA vice president and head of Australasia at Hilton Asia Pacific Paul Hutton said the Hilton Garden Inn Fiji, by Carpenters Group Fiji, added to its existing portfolio of hotels across Australasia.

The first phase of the $75million project was launched by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Biman Prasad on Thursday.

Located at the Suva foreshore, the first phase of the project is earmarked for completion in August 2025.

Mr Hutton said the new project also joined existing properties in Fiji, namely the Hilton Fiji Beach resort and Spa and the Doubletree Hilton Sonaisali in Nadi.

“This latest project marks 60 Hilton Garden Inn projects that are now underway, and we’re set to triple the brand’s presence across Australasia in the next five years,” he said.

“When the Hilton Garden Inn Suva is completed, it will feature 178 rooms, Restaurant and Bar, gym and pool and for us, will be the first for waterfront development in silver with over 40,000 square feet of retail, entertainment, dining venues, and more than 50,000 square metres of commercial and hotel space.

“Hilton is one of our fastest growing brands. It currently has over 1000 Hilton Garden inns across 62 countries, globally,” he said.
